What we sell, and what happens when it breaks

This page describes only behaviour that actually exists in the system. Every promise here has running code behind it; anything we could not point at was left out — promising something the code does not do is worse than promising nothing.

This page tracks the system's behaviour; the durations and limits below are read from the running instance.

1. What you are buying

A subscription is a share of one real Claude subscription account, billed monthly. “N-way shared” means N people jointly use that account; you buy one share. It is not a plan or credits — behind it is a real account, and you stay on the same account long-term because prompt caches and signed thinking blocks are bound to the account that issued them.

The API relay forwards native protocols and bills each call from a dollar allowance at the vendor's own list price. The allowance is bought with yuan cash and cannot be converted back. While you hold a spot, requests served by accounts in your account are covered by the monthly fare and do not draw the allowance; a model your account does not serve is refused, never silently billed as API traffic. The two never offset or substitute for each other.

2. Billing

Seats are billed by the calendar month, deducted in one payment from the cash part of your yuan balance. There is no auto-renewal — you renew it yourself, and we email reminders 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before expiry, plus one at expiry. API calls do not spend yuan: you convert cash into a dollar allowance, then each call draws that allowance at the model's list price.

The yuan balance has two parts: cash and granted credit. Granted credit comes from campaigns and coupons; it cannot be withdrawn, cannot buy a spot, and cannot convert into an allowance, and it is reclaimed when it expires. Seats and allowance conversions accept cash only. The dollar allowance is a service right bought with cash, cannot be converted back, and expires; a new purchase pushes the expiry of the whole remaining allowance forward.

Price changes never affect a subscription already running; they apply from your next renewal.

3. Start, expiry and cancellation

Renew before expiry to keep the current car. At expiry, your formal seat is released immediately; a later renewal is placed on an available car.

A temporary borrowed ride does not end automatically when the owner's subscription expires or is cancelled. It continues until an operator explicitly reclaims or promotes it.

Cancelling this car subscription releases its seat immediately. Expiry and voluntary cancellation are separate events.

4. Service commitment and compensation

What we commit to is spot availability: while you hold a live spot, a usable account in the account pool can carry your requests. It is measured against you, not against any one upstream account — an account failing while you are moved to another account of the same size is not an interruption and is not counted.

When no account of your size can take you for more than 15 minutes, that is an interruption. Requests for models on your account fail and return an error during it; they are not billed against the monthly fare or the allowance — we do not quietly turn them into the other product. If a reserve pool can serve the protocol, the request goes there instead, still unbilled.

When service returns, your period is extended automatically by the time actually lost, and for every 24 hours unavailable at most 4 extra hours. Compensation is granted without any request or support ticket, and the new expiry date is visible on the Carpool page of your console. Compensation is capped at 7 days per calendar month; reaching that cap means the fleet can no longer deliver, and the right response is to contact us about a refund or a different pool rather than to keep accruing credit.

Compensation is always service time — never cash, balance, or granted credit. What failed was a stretch of service, and what we return is the same stretch of service. Paying it out in money would turn an outage into a withdrawal route.

5. Allowance and fair use

The upstream account's allowance windows (the five-hour and weekly ones) are shared with the other riders in your car, and your entitlement is 1/N of the total. Your console shows in real time what you have used against what your tier entitles you to.

Going over your share is not throttled today — when nobody else in the account wants that headroom, it should be yours to use. If you persistently and substantially crowd out the other riders we may talk to you about moving up a tier; that is a conversation, not an automatic penalty.

6. Account and acceptable use

One spot is for one user. Do not resell it, sublet it, or let several people use the same spot at once — that crowds out shares other riders have paid for. Keep your credentials safe; usage from a leaked credential is the holder's responsibility, and you can revoke any device or key from the console at any time.

Do not use the service for anything unlawful where you are, or in breach of the upstream provider's own policies. If an upstream provider restricts or bans an account over such a breach, that interruption is not covered by clause 4.

7. Upstream dependencies

This service is built on third-party AI providers. Their prices, models, quotas and policies are outside our control; when they change, we adjust the fleet as quickly as we can and notify affected users.

When an account becomes unusable for provider-side reasons we add or replace accounts, and the interruption is measured and compensated under clause 4. If a whole tier cannot be delivered for a sustained period, we will contact you to arrange a refund or a move to another tier rather than let compensation accrue indefinitely.

8. Data

For billing, troubleshooting and usage reporting we record metadata for each request: time, model, upstream, status code, token counts and cost. We do not store your prompts or the model's responses. Request logs are kept for 30 days by default.

Your requests are forwarded to the relevant upstream provider, whose own policies govern their handling of that data. Your account email is used only for sign-in, verification codes, and status notifications for this service.

9. Changes to these terms

We notify changes by email to your account address. Adjustments to price or to the service commitment apply to a running subscription from its next billing period.

If you have a question about these terms, or believe a recorded interruption does not match what you experienced, just reply to any notification email we sent — it is the same mailbox.
